Vincent Gerbet is a photographer based in Paris and work focuses on social and politics domains.
He began as a self-made photographer in the 90's. After different and several experiences in photography, he worked as photographer and technical editor in chief at Play Bac Presse, specialized in daily newspapers for kids. First, Vincent had a 3 month contract in this company, he stayed 17 years ! During 5 years, he did few reports for this publishing company. But he had to give up this activity few times after he introduced the first digital camera in the newsroom. Journalists could make the photos by themselves...
In 2016, he's back to school, in the EMI-CFD institute in Paris to update his photography.
During 7 months, he followed the advices of the two photojournalists Julien Daniel and Guillaume Herbaut. Thanks to them, he was able to reconnect with the profession. During his training, he also learned the realization of video reports.
At the end of the program, he completed an traineeship at the Inrockuptibles, a cultural and political magazine based in Paris. He was able to report and make photo portraits that were published. He also made video.
Now he is ready to live the profession of photojournalist photo and video as a freelance in the press...
